Goodwill Township is hiring judges to make local voting on Election Days a reality in our community.

Election judges are temporary, paid employees of local election officials trained to handle all aspects of voting at the polling place. Serving as an election judge is a chance to learn about elections, and is a great service to the community.

             Want to work for us?

  • Earn $12-$14 per hour

  • Work a full day (up to 14 hours); some half day positions available

  • Attend paid training session(s) before Election Day

  • Work days are annual town elections and even-year primary & general elections

  • Choose which elections you’re available to work

  • You may be asked to work as an absentee ballot judge prior to March election

  • New and experienced judges are encouraged to apply

Goodwill Township is looking for a logo that represents and promotes our community. Use your creativity and knowledge of the area to design a logo that will be used on the township website and letterheads. We welcome all original designs! Artwork will be judged at the Annual Meeting on March 10, 2026.

All five positions on the Goodwill Town Board will be on the ballot this March.

As a newly organized township, the current elected officials are serving in interim positions until the next annual town election. To learn more about township governance and the duties of the supervisors, clerk, and treasurer, check out the “How to Run for Town Office” brochure.

If this is the time you want to serve your neighbors in grassroots government, you are invited to attend a Candidate Filing Instruction Session, to be held on Tuesday, December 16th from 5:00-5:45 p.m. at the Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade, 8025 Oak Narrows Road. This brief session will provide an explanation of the filing process and a demonstration of completing the candidate filing forms. Forms will be available, but you will not be able to submit your completed forms until the filing period, which opens on December 30, 2025 and continues through 5:00 p.m. on January 13, 2026.

With the recent organization of Goodwill Township, you now have the opportunity to vote in person in your own community on Election Day! Your new polling place is at the Lake Vermilion Fire Brigade building.

All absentee voting for the March election will be handled by the Goodwill Elections Administrator. Absentee voting for the March Township Election begins on February 6, 2026.

Absentee voting for the Primary and General Elections will still be conducted through the St. Louis County Elections office.
